light and dark moments

Time passes so quickly-too quickly. With a loved ones time drawing closer to that time..

Precious time-spent-or neglected. Time you can’t get back. Mother is in the hospital in pain. What is the significance of Mother?

hands that cared,and held,and fed. So many meals prepared. Now wrinkled and weak. Eyes that glimmered with love and hope.

now a flicker. That flicker that represents both light and dark. Light because-a mothers love is all encompassing. Dark because that light is fading. And life’s lesson now is bittersweet.  Mother is in the hospital. She may return home again. It is in Gods hands.

In and out of sleep-from all the pain medication. She doesn’t seem to be the person that she used to be.

Light and dark moments-does the light ever seem to sooth again? does it ever feel as warm again?

does it illuminate through the green leaves again and inspire the way it used to when mothers gone?

I love you Mom-you are my light…
